Cardamom pod is used to flavor food, both savory and sweet. Indian, Middle Eastern, Arabic, and Swedish cuisines all make extensive use of it. It is utilized as entire pods, seeds, or crushed and comes in two varieties. Cardamom can be found in hot drinks like Turkish coffee and masala chai, as well as in the spice mixture garam masala, which is used to season meat and vegetable meals.

Spices such as cardamom are produced from the seed pods of several plants in the ginger family. Cardamom pods have a triangular cross section and are formed like a spindle. Although there are several seeds in the pods, the cardamom pod can be utilized whole or ground. The pods vary in size and color depending on the species, and the seeds are tiny and black.
